The Journey to ExSCellence 5K seeks to raise awareness and educate the Prince George’s County community about Sickle Cell Disease and the challenges those affected by it face.

People living with this disease must accommodate their daily life activities to manage symptoms of chronic pain, respiratory duress, inflammation, anemia, and jaundice.

The results of these symptoms are a catalyst to the patients’ isolation, depression and negative stigmas. They are our Warriors!

Journey to ExSCellence 5K partners with local organizations to assist in alleviating the external stressors that negatively impact Sickle Cell Warriors and their families.
