Uniting Warriors, Empowering Lives: Sickle Cell Community Strong

Journey to ExSCellence seeks to raise awareness and educate communities about Sickle Cell Disease, Sickle Cell Trait and the challenges those affected by it face.

People living with this disease must accommodate their daily life activities to manage symptoms of chronic pain, respiratory duress, inflammation, anemia, and jaundice. The results of these symptoms are a catalyst to the patients’ isolation, depression and negative stigmas. They are our Warriors! Journey to ExSCellence partners with local organizations to assist in alleviating the external stressors that negatively impact Sickle Cell Warriors and their families.

The mission of Journey to ExSCellence is to invest in direct services and programming that improve the quality of life for Sickle Cell Warriors by bringing the gap between awareness and advocacy to direct support for people living with Sickle Cell Disease.
